INFRARED SAUNA

Sauna use, which is sometimes referred to as “sauna bathing,” is an ancient practice that can be found across cultures throughout hundreds, if not thousands, of years. Infrared saunas use infrared radiation lamps that emit both visible and infrared light, that penetrate a deep core warmth. This activates at a cellular level for numerous health benefits.

How often should I use Infrared Sauna?

If your body is in a healthy place, you can use the sauna multiple times a week, providing you many health benefits. At hc health hub, we encourage our clients to move regularly for the benefits to the mind and body, and the use of Infrared Sauna is the same. If you can make infrared a regular part of your self care routine, whether that is once a week or more, you will the strengthen you body to revive, relax and recover.

What should I wear in the Sauna?

Bathers and underwear are your best options, however if you are sharing your sauna with a friend, you might like more coverage, so light active wear is suitable. Remember the sauna really heats up though, so be sure you don’t wear too much, as you may overheat.

Hydration and Infrared Sauna

We recommend heading into the Sauna well hydrated. At a minimum at least one glass of water before entering and you must bring a non-spillable water bottle with you for inside the sauna. After your sauna consuming 3 to 4 glasses of water plus some electrolytes would be advisable. This gives your body the best chance to recover and rehydrate.

What do I need to bring?

A non-spillable water bottle and loose clothing for after your sauna.
